Anniversary Weekend

For our big anniversary date (7 year celebration) we made it to the mountains without the boys! We hit the alpine slides first-- no water just sleds with wheels-- way fun!
And then we took a 5 mile hike (round trip) up to mirror lake where we floated in our 2 person inflatable raft that we packed up to the top and fished for awhile. What a view! Too bad we weren't very smart-- we didn't take one picture of us together the entire weekend, hopefully lesson learned-- it only takes 7 years right?
Then on Saturday it was out to the beach-- this time with the boys.
Cash hanging out in the wind shelter
You can tell how windy it was at Rockaway Beach (more like don't blow away beach). They must get a lot of wind because there were makeshift wind shelters on this beach. One even had a roof and four walls.

We then went to Seaside (much warmer) and Kyler has sand in his face in this picture because when you tell him no he likes to throw himself on the ground and scream into the ground. That didn't work very well for him on the beach. After about the 4th time he swallowed a bunch of sand and puked up pink ice cream.
Perry and Kyler had a fun time in the water. It really looks like Kyler is getting drenched but its landing behind him. Perry was very careful not to get him wet except for a few drops.

Cash loves to bring his bike to the beach. Kyler would rather play in the water.

Checking out the sand crab that Perry caught. And yes Kyler did eventually get wet-- but only because a wave tripped him and he did a belly flop in the water. Afterwords we went and sat in our tent and got warm (funny that we left our house to get cooled down and at the beach we sit in the car or our tent to get warm). Thats the Oregon coast for ya!

July so far...

This is a typical day at our house.. I love our trampoline net- it makes it a little more safe and it provides shade. The garden is behind the boys. We have even gotten a few ripe cherry tomatoes. Its very small compared to the one at our house on the coast, but its a nice size to weed. In this garden we are having some major problems with squirrels and the blue jays. June is doing her best but its not quite enough to keep the "predators" out of the garden.

Kyler at the petting zoo in Tillamook. He wouldnt give the goat a chip unless he had 2.
Digging for clams outside of Tillamook. Cash loved it. June and Kyler not so much. Kyler was mostly mad because he wanted out of the stroller and in the water, not an option since he has been sick. He did get out and play in the sand for awhile and when he did get wet we left. June was mad because we carried the boys over a very large puddle and left her to swim. Ha.

Cash outside of Seaside. Spent the afternoon out there a couple of weeks ago waiting for our house to cool down. Perry and I even took turns boogy boarding it was so nice out.

We have been berry picking a lot. We have about12-15 lbs of raspberries in our freezer right now. Yummy. Cash ate all the ones he picked.
And finally what would summer be without garage sales? Cash sporting his new costume. And he was actually excited to put this one on, I couldn't believe it. He hates things on his head but I think he still looks awesome!

Family Fun in MT

p

Kyler loved reading a train book with my mom over and over again.

BRR Rach BRR....

Kyler was very mad that we put a leash on him to keep him out of the water. He did better on Papas lap.

Us girls got to go riding in the mountains without the kids.. soo nice.

We had a lot of fun in MT. The boys played really well together and shared everything including being sick, but at least we were still able to go and have a blast. I think Cash had the most fun, he is still talking about the zoomy rides on blue and his papa and the tractors. The above pictures are of my brother Jake and his wife Rach and there boys, my sister Brooke and my Parents. Duke you where there but I dont have one good picture of you. You should of stuck around longer:) Love you guys had a ton of fun!
Below are a few pictures from a beach trip we took right before going to MT. I just love the one of Kyler and the food. That is seriously how he eats most of the time. He is a big eater.
